Our Country falls across the County Durham/North Yorkshire
Borders, and is about 20 miles square.
Towards its Northern, Southern and Western extremities, a good deal of grass
still exists, divided by stone walls, rails and hedges.
The Tees Valley is the centre of the best of the Country, with good "Jumping
Meets" centred on Aldbrough St. John, Gainford and Staindrop
