Welcome

The Zetland Hunt hunt within the law under the terms of the Hunting Act.
We are law-abiding people, so our activities today conform to the law, but we remain deeply committed to safeguarding the traditions of hunting, the hounds, and the people whose livelihoods depend on hunting

Our Country falls across the County Durham/North Yorkshire Borders, and is about 20 miles square. Towards its Northern, Southern and Western extremities, a good deal of grass still exists, divided by stone walls, rails and hedges.

The Tees Valley is the centre of the best of the Country, with good "Jumping Meets" centred on Aldbrough St. John, Gainford and Staindrop.

The usual Hunting days are Tuesday and Saturday throughout the Season although the occasional Meet is held on a Monday with prior warning given on the Meet Card.

A number of Social and other events are held throughout the year to raise funds.
